Tourist Attraction in The Area

The Premier Diamond Mine this a popular tourist attraction in Cullinan. It is underground diamond mine owned by Petra Diamonds. Cullinan is situated plus minus 40 km East of Pretoria in Gauteng. The mine was established in 1902, and it renamed there Cullinan Diamond Mine in November 2003 in celebration of its centenary.

The mine rose to prominence in 1905, when the Cullinan Diamond, there largest rough diamond of gem quality ever found, was discovered there. The mine has produced over 750 stones than greater are 100 carats and more that quarter of world’s diamonds, that are greater than 400 carats. It is only significant source of blue diamonds in the world.
